Discover the Ardèche with a stay at Château des Faugs! The château can be privatized for up to 30 people.
Château des Faugs was built by the famous Ardèche composer Vincent d’Indy (1851-1931). In love with the land, he and his wife Isabelle decided to build a château on a promontory, in place of an old stronghold. He drew up the plans for this large family home himself, in collaboration with architect Louis-Achille Tracol. He lived there from 1890.
Château owner Christophe d’Indy, Vincent’s great-grandson, completely renovated the family home between 2004 and 2010, working with architect Jean-Christian Cheze and local companies. The estate around Château des Faugs covers 70 hectares, but it’s possible to walk around the entire 300-hectare family estate without crossing a road!
